On the morning of 20 March, Changchun NOK-Freudenberg Oil Seals Co., Ltd. (“CNF”) held the official opening ceremony of its new plant. In the presence and with the blessing of a number of leaders and guests from the Department of Commerce of Jilin Province, China, Changchun Automobile Economic and Technological Development Zone, NOK Corporation, Freudenberg Group, NOK-Freudenberg China and business partners.
Zhang Wei, Director of FAW-VOLKSWAGEN Project of Changchun Automobile Economic and Technological Development Zone, delivered a congratulatory speech and expressed his hopes that CNF will strengthen its self-development, actively respond to customers and adhere to joint development in the future. Junichi Orita, Chairman of NOK-Freudenberg China, sent his congratulatory video. Wei Zhiyan, then President of NOK-Freudenberg China, expressed his excitement and pride at the opening of CNF’s new plant on site.
Yu Zhirui, General Manager of CNF, introduced that the new factory has completed the construction of more than 20,000 square metres of workshops in one and a half years and has already started normal production and operation. With a total investment of about 200 million RMB, the new factory is designed to produce about 150 million seals per year.
The new factory is intelligent and user-friendly, with the advantages of efficient use of space, scientific layout and separation of people and objects. The new factory combines the two original plants under one roof and will introduce new products, designs and processes to provide high quality sealing products for the automotive industry, especially for the new energy vehicle industry.
