"Freudenberg offers training in a modern learning environment that includes digital learning and working with high-tech machines in multidisciplinary teams and an international working environment," González continued. All training areas in the training centre use digital devices such as touch monitors or tablets. Interactive learning is also made possible by an area for free learning. The trainees and students work in inter-professional teams, create learning maps and solve tasks in teamwork.
"In terms of applications, we have observed a significant decline in interested female talent for several years, especially in the technical and STEM fields. We explicitly encourage young women to apply." At the same time, the need for IT specialists for the development of new products and business models, in manufacturing and in sales is increasing significantly due to digitalisation. For example, Freudenberg in Weinheim also trains IT specialists and computer scientists together with the DHBW, as well as the profession of IT systems management clerk.
Freudenberg offers three of the ten most popular apprenticeships: Electronics Technician, Mechatronics Technician and Industrial Clerk. In total, there are more than 20 training opportunities: Training is provided in 14 apprenticeships as well as in ten dual courses of study in the fields of business, technology and IT together with the DHBW in Mannheim. Applications for 2024 are now open on the Freudenberg training homepage at ausbildung.freudenberg.com.
